Catherine was preceded in death by her son: Arron Hawthorn
She is survived by her Husband of 31 years, Joe Hawthorn Sr., DeRidder, La. Sons: Joe Hawthorn Jr., Fairfield Texas, John Hawthorn DeRidder, La. James Hawthorn, Lake Charles, La., Daughters: JoAnn Newman, Vivian, La., and Rebecca Billingsly, Longview, Texas, Brother: Clark Simmons, Naples, Florida, Sister: Verda Gladden, Pleasant Plains, Ar., Mary Sue Lange, Spindale, N.C., Marsha Ann Green, DeRidder, La. Catherine had 13 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday August 13, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, La. Funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, La. Burial will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, La. under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Pastor Mickey Searels will be officiating.
