Auntie Kay was devoted to her family, not just her immediate one, but her large extended family as well. She never missed an event: showers, weddings, christenings, birthdays, and funerals. She was always there to hug, praise, and comfort. Auntie Kay had a generous heart and took great pride in her family's accomplishments acknowledging them with joy.
When I was young I loved to visit Uncle Ed and Auntie Kay's home to see my cousin Donna and her three little brothers. There was always so much activity and so many smiles. My recent visits to Auntie Kay at 92 years were a lot quieter, but just as engaging. We discussed family, current events, and the latest fashion trends. I will miss Auntie Kay's warm heart, independent streak, fashion sense, and most of all her sense of humor.
To those she loved, may the twinkle in her eye remain in your hearts.
With love,
Helen

Dear Hicks family,
I remember as a little girl always heading over to her driveway. Kay would let me play with all her musical wind boxes all over her house. She always made time for my family and was a big part of our lives. She became another grandmother to the Kiley family. We will miss her very much and always will remember her thoughtfulness and loving ways. I am so sorry for your loss.
Love,
Kathy Kiley Cooper

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
I had the privilege of meeting and working with Kay at the Witchcraft Heights Elementary School. She was such a wonderful, caring and loving person who touched the lives of so many children and co-workers over the years. May many happy memories carry Kay's family through this sorrowful time. God Bless.
Auntie Kay attended all our parties...from the 60's.
