Catherine E. Huecksteadt

Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine E. Huecksteadt, 93, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2008, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport where the family invites you to join them to pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Catherine passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Genesis Medical Center. Memorials may be made to the Genesis Medical Center, West Campus Stroke Center.
Catherine Elizabeth Josinger was born in Davenport on October 30, 1914 the daughter of John and Catherine (Mueller) Josinger. She was united in marriage to Ernest G. Huecksteadt on August 5, 1937 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He preceded her in death, after over 60 years of marriage, on October 2, 1997.
She is survived by her children, a daughter; Judy (Gedon Aldort) Lowes of Evanston, Ill.; three sons, John (Jackie) Huecksteadt, Fredriscksburg, Texas, David (Barbara) Huecksteadt, Lodi, Calif., and Thomas (Kathy) Huecksteadt, Salt Lake City, Utah; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Wilhelm, a brother, Paul Josinger, both of Davenport.
