Catherine James

Catherine "Cathy" Ann LaJoie James of Punta Gorda, Florida and Minneapolis, Minnesota, age 74, passed away on September 30, 2022.

Cathy was born on October 25, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN. Cathy attended Northrop High School in Minneapolis, MN and the University of Minnesota. Cathy worked as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines for 38 years. She and her husband raised their children in Burnsville, MN. After her retirement from Northwest Airlines, she and her husband moved to Punta Gorda, Florida and then split their time between Florida and Minnesota.

Cathy was fond of traveling. Cathy was an animal lover and enjoyed volunteering, particularly at the Minnesota Zoo and Children's Hospital. She was also a great cook and skilled at knitting and crafting. Her home was always filled with delicious food and beautiful homemade goods she made. She loved spending time with her family and being at her family's cabin in northern Minnesota.

Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Chilton) LaJoie and her brother, Michael LaJoie. Cathy, or "Cici" to her grandchildren, is survived by her husband, David, her children, Josh (Krista) and Elizabeth (Brian), and her grandchildren Amelia and Eloise.
