I was sick to learn of Steve's passing. It is a huge loss to all who knew him. I treasure the memories of the time we spent together, the thrill of the hunt, and the great off-the- beaten-path restaurants he knew of as we hunted down the next art or antique rarity. The world is a worse place without Steve Hess. You are GREATLY missed my friend.

I most recently learned of Steve's passing. I was totally shocked. He will always be remember with great fondness for the times we shared together. I will never forget that. The nearly 40 years we had known each other has passed so swiftly.
My most sincere sympathy to his family and friends.
