Catherine Ludwig Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 17, 2013.
Catherine Rene Colby Ludwig

Catherine "Cathie" Rene Colby Ludwig went to heaven with the Angels on Monday, December 16, 2013. She was born on February 9, 1962 in Bristol and lived all her life in Levittown. Cathie was a graduate of Delhaas High School, class of 1980.

Her job in life was to be a wonderful mother to her four sons.

She was predeceased by her "Daddy", Ralph L. Colby and sisters, Carol Ann and Brenda Marie. They have been united in Heaven.

Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Bill Ludwig and four sons, Bill (Rachel), Scot and Conner Ludwig and Adam Colby; her mother, Patricia Colby; three sisters, Donna (Jeff) Riendeau, Cynthia (Larry) Conley and Michelle (Nelson) Webb; and her two brothers, Scot Colby and Michael (Martha) Colby. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

No child ever entered into her life that didn't leave knowing she cared for them and loved them. Her home was filled with the love and kindness she spread far and wide.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will be held on Saturday, at 12:30 pm at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cathie's name may be made to the American Lung Association, 527 Plymouth Road, Suite 403, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462-1641.

Kathy was a devoted mom and wife. She had an energy and light that shined on the block. She will never be forgotten. Love to all the family from our home and to hers in heaven and the rest of the family living with her memory! Peace be with you....

Cathie each day seems to get harder and harder missing you, I so want to reach out, pick up the phone and call you. Christmas Day I went for my phone a dozen or more times because I didn't want to miss calling you, than I would remember your not there. I hope you and Brenda are reunited, I wish I could feel you are, maybe someday. I pray for Bill and the boys everday, several times a day, you are so very much missed. Love you always and forever..

Cathy lived as she wanted to. A proud mother to her children and loving wife to her husband. She will sadly be missed in our hearts. To her husband and children she will always be with you. There are so many memories that you have to carry on. Dont dwell on the loss, rather dwell on what she did for everyone around and share the laughter and joy. . She showed everyone her love towards you all. Our prayers are with you.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Bill and the boys. Cathie's presence with be greatly missed, but the memories of her sitting on the porch keeping an eye out on all the kids in the neighborhood, always with a wave and a smile to everyone who passed by, will live on for all of us. Now she will be keeping an eye on us all from above. God Bless.
