MCQUAID, Catherine (nee Gooding)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Catherine McQuaid at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, September 5th, 2013 at 71 years of age. Devoted wife of Bernie. Loving mother of Kara (Peter). Loving stepmother of Kim (Larry), Danny (Mel), and predeceased by Rick (Charlene). Beloved Nina of Logan, Connor, Brayden and Megan, and cherished Grandma of Tammy, Christy, Brian and Tanya; Christopher, Brandon, Robbie and Kaitlyn. Cherished sister of Jack, Satch, Betty, Patti, Josephine and Donna Marie. She will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends and will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, September 9th from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Tuesday September 10th from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

I am so very sorry to hear about Cathy and fondly remember the years we worked together at Purdue. Unfortunately I could not attend as I received the notice too late. Please know that she is in the hearts and prayers of all who knew her.

We missed out on a life time of memories, only just learning about you, Betty & Patti a couple of years ago. We still had so much to share, so much to learn of one another. You will be sadly missed by all of us.

Lee and I wish all the family our deepest regrets in the loss of your Dear Wife/Mother/Grandmother/Mother in law. Sudden death like the one to Catherine are a real shocker to all. She is now with the LORD and is in a much better place. Sorrow and pain will be no more! Lee and Cliff
