Catherine Anne O'Mara DHM

Catherine Anne O'Mara, 98, of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary in Holyoke, MA, died on December 22, 2021. She was born on August 13, 1923 in Bronx, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late Thomas O'Mara and Catherine (Wilson) O'Mara. Catherine lived 65 years of vowed life. She was First Assistant to the Mother General of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary, an International Religious Congregation. Her forte was teaching Literature at Nardin Academy in Buffalo, N.Y. Catherine is survived by her brother, Joseph O'Mara of St. Petersburg, FL, his two sons, nine nieces and nephews, eighteen great-nieces and great-nephews, one great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Catherine at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28th at The Marian Center, 1365 Northampton Street, Holyoke, followed by burial in Saint Jerome Cemetery.
