CATHERINE REDBERGER Obituary
A graduate of John Oliver High School in 1960, she cherished her alumni group of friends. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi and a boater for many years, belonging to the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons
She endured three bouts of cancer with dignity and finally passed away from pancreatic cancer after a valiant struggle. Special thanks to her sorority sisters and best friends Ed & Grace Whittle, and Sandra Laughland and Gerald Paul.
A very special thank you to Drs. King and Joshi, and all the wonderful nurses at Peace Arch Hospice.

Andy and Linette,
Today our Jayo group met at Linda's home and celebrated Cathie. We raised a glass, reminisced and definitely laughed alot. So many years of wonderful memories. You are well loved Cathie and very much missed -- no more long phone conversations, but I still talk to you anyway! For sure we will meet again, Love from Lorene

To Mr. Redburger, Linette and family; My condolences to all of you. As a childhood friend of Linette's I was the Redburger home frequently for lunches, play time and sleepovers. Mrs. Redburger welcomed all the girls that came over. One item that stands out in my mind is Mrs. Redburger teaching me how to be a lady. I recall how she told me pockets are for looks, not for your hands and I pass on that thought to the girls in my Girl Guide group now. The Wong family and I are thinking of you and send you warm thoughts at this time.

I'll miss Cathie and our weekly phone visits. We would share lengthy and interesting accounts about family, friends and of course sports.
I'll also always remember how she handled her failing health over the last few years with such courage and dignity.

Cathie has been my sister for 71 plus years. She was so talented in her flower arranging, paintings, etc. I'm so sorry that I didn't get home in time, but God had a plan, and Andy said he didn't want me to see her at the end. She is now with Mom, Dad, and Auntie Glady's, whom we all loved so much. RIP Gone but not forgotten.

When I first met Cathie in the mid 1950's, she was super organized, knew what she wanted and did it with grace, artistry and a fine sense of humor. Her laugh was infectious and you could hear it throughout the halls of John Oliver High School. We reconnected in 2009 and I am happy to say she hadn't changed a bit. The John Oliver bunch will miss you Cathie but you will not be forgotten. Darrell Dean
