Born August 12, 1926 in Buffalo, New York, passed away on January 13, 2025 in Sacramento, California at Golden Pond Retirement Community. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Beloved wife to Philip Trifiro for 56 years. Loving mother of Carol Cekosh (Phillip), Diane Pond (Brian), Philip Trifiro, Jr. (Mary), Anthony Trifiro (Diane), Richard Trifiro (Debby), Jan Trifiro (Laurie Lewis), Jeffrey Trifiro (Heather). Grandmother of Timothy Cekosh (Kim), Daniel Cekosh (Kati Cekosh Dowell), Steven Grondin (Lori DeLappe), Keith Pond, Jeremy Trifiro (Noelle), Michael Trifiro (Megan), Adam Trifiro (Holly), David Trifiro (Alisha), Roxi Trifiro, and Vincent Trifiro. Great-grandmother of April Cekosh, Jake Cekosh, Amber LaPlante (Paul), Cassandra Grondin, Kelsi Grondin, Logan Pond Wall, Jude Trifiro, Jasper Trifiro, Benjamin Trifiro, Liam Trifiro, Teagan Trifiro, Tate Trifiro, and Finley Trifiro. Great-great-grandmother to Aurora Grondin-Waters, Madelyn Cekosh LaPlante, and Kayson LaPlante. Also survived by many other family members and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband Philip Trifiro, her two sons-in-law Phillip Cekosh and Brian Pond, and her two grandsons Daniel Cekosh and Keith Pond.

No words can express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Catherine was a dear, sweet, lovely person and I am so lucky to have enjoyed her company over these many years. I will always remember her wonderful laugh, more like a chuckle, so endearing. All my thoughts and prayers go out to her children, grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren.
