Cathi Deal

Cathi Cunningham Deal passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 76, in Deland, FL. She was born in the Chicago suburbs to the late Frank and Bonnie Cunningham.

Cathi was many things, Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, animal lover, adventurer, confidante, businesswoman, innovator and best of all, Cathi was loved by her friends and family.

Cathi was a proud graduate of Breman High School where she was a Breman Brave and a lifeguard. She received her degree in psychology from Purdue University. While working at the Mercantile Exchange, she was featured in an article printed in the Wall Street Journal. As a former art gallery owner, she had a discerning eye. She also loved watching and working in stock car racing from local tracks up to Nascar. Cathi loved the theater both as a patron and an actress and performed in a traveling church music group. As a former art gallery owner, she had a discerning eye. She was an accomplished seamstress.

She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years Edward Deal, parents Frank and Bonnie Cunningham, sister Sandy Griffin and her beloved dog Chloe. Cathi is survived by her daughter Wendy Janowski, son-in-law Thomas Janowski, her dear dog Cassie, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
