CATHRYN STOVALL

  EDNA - Cathryn Stovall, 84, of Edna, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2008. She was born July 30, 1924, in Edna, to the late Helen Crockett and James Whitmore. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Tabernacle Christian Center.
  She is survived by her husband, Thomas Stovall Jr. of Edna; son, Thomas Stovall III of Greenville; sisters, Jean Miller of Houston; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ida Linda Grays; sisters, Tommie Lee Beeler and Delores Dennis; and brother, Gerald Dennis.
  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Cook-Butler Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church, with Elder Thomas Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Sayles Cemetery.

I knew Mrs. Stovall many years ago when I assisted her in her home. She was a lovely woman. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this time.
