Cathy Cordell Obituary

Cathy L. Cordell, age 60, passed away, August 4, 2009, in Warsaw, Missouri. She was born in Gardner, Kansas, on June 2, 1949, to John and Jean Chesney. She grew up in Gardner, and graduated from Gardner High School in 1967. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1971. She taught in school near Gardner, owned the Downtowner Cafe, and then worked for the Venisco Company. Cathy is survived by her father, John Chesney, who is a resident of the Homestead of Olathe. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Ledom, of Olathe, and Gail Chesney, of San Francisco, CA; two nieces and two nephews; several great-nieces and great- nephews, other relatives and many friends. Grave Side Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 7, at the Olathe Memorial. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Arr. It has been a few years since I last saw Cathy. I used to work with her. She was a very caring and loving person, who would do anything to help you out. I am sorry I lost touch with her over the years, but I know she will missed very much. Heaven just got another angel.
