JONES, Cathy Elaine
It is with profound grief that we announce the sudden passing of Cathy Elaine Jones from our family at the age of 49 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Steven, and their children Bethany and David, who loved her dearly. Her broken- hearted parents, Kees and Olive Stam, are suffering the loss of their much-loved daughter. Cathy's brother Dave Stam and his wife Sharon grieve with them. Cathy's favorite aunt, Marie Chambers of Wabamun, will greatly miss her niece.
Cathy was a Registered Nurse who trained at the Royal Alexandra School of Nursing. Her nursing career took her to several different facilities in the Edmonton area and at each she enjoyed forming a special bond with the patients she cared for so much.
Camping in the mountains and spending time with family were truly joys in Cathy's life. We will all reflect fondly on the memories made during these times.
Cathy's life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service to be held Friday, March 8 at the Salvation Army Edmonton Temple, located at 9115 - 75 Street at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.

We're very schocked when we heard about Cathy. She was the daughter of my uncle Kees. I always admired him because he had he courage to leave Holland, and built a new live up in Canada. Cathy was fond of my mother, aunt Henny, they often contacted each other.
Cathy has spent lots of contacts with her family in Holland, to keep the contacts. We're sure that heaven became a very sweet angel..............

I was shocked and terribly saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Cathy. It seems only such a short time ago I would chat with her as we would see each other when picking up our kids at Mount Pleasant School.
Cathy was a beautiful, warm and friendly person who never let an opportunity pass when she could say something that would make you have a nicer day. How incredibly lucky you, David and Beth were to have her in your lives. Karen, Michael and I are very sorry for your loss. You are a great family and will be so because of her and for her, forever. We had the pleasure of meeting Cathy when living in Edmonton from 1990-1994. My parents enjoyed visiting with our Stam cousins every time they came to visit us from the Gaspé Peninsula. Please know that you are in the prayers of many in New Brunswick and on the Gaspé. We remember her as a sweet young lady, one who along with her parents, made us feel very welcome.
