Cathy "Cat" Lynn Simons, 48, of Cape Coral went to be with the lord on August 31, 2014. She was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1965 to parents Sid Simons and Edith Kay. She moved to Cape Coral in 2005 from Woodland Hills, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Larry E. & Wayne R. Simons. Survivors include the love of her life, whom she lived with in Cape Coral, Leroy (Chachi) Aberle, one daughter Alesia Simons-Parico (AKA: Kali) of California. Cat was also involved with Chachi's children Toni Lee and Vanessa and her children Sophia and Dylan. Other survivors include her six sisters; Gale Mastrangelo, Patty Kohler, Carol Scheifele, Donna Goodyear, Diane Rinaldi, and Denise McCoach, two brothers; Steve & Tom Simons, one aunt Eileen and uncle Bob Simons, aunt Dorothy McLaughlin, and her 18 nieces and nephews. Cat will be missed by her many grand nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Cathy Lynn was a fun loving partner Mom, sister, aunt, niece, and friend who was generous, kind and would forgo her last meal and give to the homeless. Her beautiful smile and positive outlook on life will be truly missed.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday September 6, 2014 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral. Friends are invited to her viewing Thursday and Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fuller Metz Funeral Home in Cape Coral.
