Cecelia H. "Nana" Bielicki

Cecelia H. "Nana" Bielicki, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born November 28, 1915 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Tobolski Bojanek.Cecelia's father was a founding member of the Chopin Singing Society.  While her three children were growing up she was active in PTA and card clubs.  Earlier she was a member of the St. Theresa Sodality and Church Choirs.  Cecelia worked at Omel Furniture, AM and A's in Millinery, and for 20 years, was in Personnel at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital, retiring in 1980.  Cecelia attended St. Adalbert Church, she spoke fluent Polish and enjoyed travel, playing cards, cooking, shopping and her family. Her husband, Edward J. Bielicki, whom she married October of 1937, passed away December 16, 1980.Mother of Carol (Ron) Nowak of San Diego, CA, Edward (Helen) Bielicki of Gasport and John (Sharon) Bielicki of Honeoye, NY; grandmother of Melanie, Jennifer and Damon Nowak, Stephen, Jon and Martin Bielicki, Laurel (Jeff) Loewenguth, Celeste (Scott) Goldkamp and Megan (Scott) Wideman. Great-grandmother of Katie, David, Elise, Drew, Silas and Ryan; sister of the late Emily, Jean, Jeanette, Arthur and Edmund; also survived by a sister-in-law, Irene Bojanek; a cousin, Dorothy Herb; and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 PM at Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave., where the funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut St. at 10 AM.  Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
