Cecelia Reece Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 5, 2025.
Millington - Cecelia Kay (C.K.) Fisher Sterling Reece, 81, of Millington, TN passed away Monday, March 31, 2025. C.K. was born October 6, 1943, in Jackson, TN to Charles Judson and Kathryn (Gowan) Fisher. She came from a broken home and found Jesus at an early age. Always seeing herself as a sheep in HIS flock, everyone was a precious sheep in her flock. From the phone call before dinner to the last conversation in the church parking lot, if you were talking with her, you were her most valued treasure. Her passion was nurturing and mentoring souls for Christ.

C.K. graduated in 1961 from East High School in Memphis where she loved entering dance competitions - especially Top 10 Dance Party with Wink Martindale. In 1962 she won the Miss Fire Prevention crown which took her to Hollywood; however, she just didn't want that lifestyle. C.K. was also a talented decorator and active politically - in most recent years chairing the National Day of Prayer program in Millington, TN where she was an active member of Richland ARP Church.

She is survived by her husband, David Reece of Millington, TN; Trae and Teresa Sterling, Bradford and Amy Sterling, and Gowan Sterling of Memphis, TN; Tiffany and Jonathan Powell of Zionsville, IN; two stepdaughters, Cindy Rucker of Jekyll Island, GA, Jennifer Worth of Dauphin Island, AL; and fourteen grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis TN, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM
