As I was sorting though various papers, I came across an envelope given to me around 12 years ago with Cecil's handwritten address on it. After completing a search, I located this Guestbook. I am sorry to hear of Cecil's passing. He served an important part of my life during some troubling times and purely by chance, while I was living in Mobile, Alabama. Although we knew each other for only a couple of years, I was always remember him fondly.

Alan, Cecelia, and family,
As many have already said, your dad was such a true leader. I always admired him as we were growing up. When I took the class to get my administrative license two summers ago, I came to love him even more. He was a true leader and made such an impact on teachers, students, and parents alike. I will always remember him as such an awesome man.

Alan and Cecelia and Families:
I am so very sorry. Words are hard to come by in times like these. Your Dad had such an impact on so many lives. He was always a true leader in school and church. I have always had the highest respect for him. Always remember the good times and the fond memories. I will be thinking of each of you in the days ahead. If you need anything let me know. I love you guys!

I was so saddened to hear of the death of Cecil. Joanne and I were classmates at Beat Four and later at JCJC where Cecil came into her life. They were both such fine young friends for me in those years as we all prepared to be educators. I have such fond memories of them as I'm confident their family now have to console them in the days ahead. May God grant you that peace that only HE can.
