Cecil, I know your looking down on us all and still caring deeply as you always do for everyone you know or came across in meeting. I have the sweetest fondest memories of you and Ginger and the whole family from meeting you at the credit union. I will always remember how kind and loving you are and treated me as one of your own. I will always love you and Ginger and the family. God Bless all of you during this time.
You are always our Angel Cecil!

A Man Never To Be Forgotten:
Grand-Daddy,
I miss you.
I miss your strong arms
holding me tight.
I miss the time
We spent together,
No matter how much of a journey
it was.
I could barely stand
your funeral, but
your granddaughter, and my dad,
Held me Close.
And then my son,
your one ofmany grandchilden
Folded his arms around me,
holding me close.
But the worse part of all
Was not your long sickness,
not the news of your death,
But seeing you one last time,
as the coffin shut I closed my eyes,
sheading my tears for you,
hoping for your return that come back void,
Hoping to see you again some day.
I wish I could have felt
your arms cuddling me
that day,
Like the last time I saw you,
and the countless times before that.
But every time I remember that bear hug,
I’ll think of you,
And I’ll look up into the sky
to see your smiling face,
telling me that you’ll never be far away.
and that ur in my heart to stay.
LOVE YOU GRAND-DADDY

Our sincere sympathy to the entire Goodman family, church friends and all who knew and worked with Cecil over many years.
I met Cecil many years ago, when my Mother in law used to tend to his son, Cabell.Well, it is with a heavy heart for us to say " good bye" to such a loving father, grand father, and friend to many.
The last memory I have of Cecil was of us sitting around at a barbecue restaurant on Broad Street. Cecil explained to me how he was fascinated with " words". I shared with him that my own father was truly a " word freak" and loved word plays, puns etc.
Cecil always was nice and friendly to me. He is just about as close to family as family can be..without actually being a relative. I will miss his face the next time I visit Richmond.
My heart truly goes out to his entire family and extended family....I know that Cecil is with God...and in his loving embrace.
" Fair seas and following winds "...farewell dear Cecil.
Thank you for your service in the Navy...and for being one of God's civil servants. Your smiling face will forever be missed by all whose life you touched Love, Cathy Hudgins Arnett, James Insley Arnett II
