Cecil Green Obituary
Cecil was born April 19, 1920 to Vernon and Dora Green. He lived in KCK the majority of his life. Cecil married Lucy on November 11, 1943 and they spent 68 years together before her passing in 2012. He served in World War II before working at the Phillips Refinery. After his retirement, Cecil enjoyed golf and traveling. He was a loving and generous father and grandfather who was devoted to his family. He will be missed by all.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy; grandson, Rod Hightower; sisters, Bessie, Edna, Frances and Doris and brothers, Arthur, Herbert and Bobby. He is survived by his daughters, Judith (Emmitt) Hightower and Kathy (Will) Thomas; sons, Ron (Connie) Green and Richard (Sandra) Green; brother, Vernon (Chris) Green; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Dear Kathy and Family All,
So sorry to hear about the death of your father and loved one, Mr. Cecil Green. Just know that he, you and your family are in my prayers and all of us at Sanctuary of Hope Retreat Center. Sorry I couldn't make the funeral, but know I stand with you, as Jesus welcomes Cecil home to be with Him forever and Mary, our Mother, too, and all his loved ones in Heaven. I am grateful for the life of Mr. Green. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
