Cecil Haynie Obituary
Mr. Haynie died Monday July 21, 2014 at his home in the Strickland Community, Cecil was born March 21, 1919 in Corinth to the late Clifford and Eva Mae Davis Haynie. Mr. Haynie served his country honorably in the army during World War II. After returning home, he worked with S & S construction for over 30 years before retiring. Cecil was a kind and devoted family man and hard worker. He enjoyed working his garden and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert L. Haynie, sisters Sybil Stutts and Alice Goodman.
Survived by his wife of 62 years Verble Wilson Haynie, children Wanda Haynie, Geneva (Duran) Parker, grandchildren Melissa (Jeff) Schierwagan, Lindsey Parker, Josh (Cassandra) Parker and 4 great grandchildren. Host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers Tim Haynie, John Stephens, Adolph Taylor, Mike Putman, Josh Parker, George S. Haynie.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 to service time.
