Cecil Odom Obituary
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Cheryl Odom; daughters, Jill Broadwater and her husband, Gary, along with Ashlie Stewart and her husband, Wes; brother, Tommy Chunn; and sisters, Lisa Odom and Tammy Johns. He was a proud grandfather to Hanna and Olivia Broadwater, and Layne and Reese Stewart, who will miss his guidance and affection. His extended family and a circle of friends also mourn his loss. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Odom Sr., his mother, Lucille Cobb-Jones, and his brother, James Odom.
An avid outdoorsman, Jerry's hobbies included fishing and hunting, activities that not only brought him peace but also provided cherished moments with friends and family. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, often seen in the joyous gatherings and quiet moments shared at home.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. A celebration of life memorial service will follow the visitation. Jerry's life will be honored and remembered as a beacon of joy and strength to all who knew him.
