Cecil Leonard Pruette

Cecil Leonard Pruette August 13, 1937 - November 30, 2022 Mr. Cecil L. Pruette, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was born on August 13, 1937 in Sharon, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm at Tirzah ARP Church on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Grace; grandson, Hunter; granddaughter, Andra; sister, Sandra Pruette; sister-in-law, Rita; step-sons, Perry Hudspeth and David Hudspeth; and daughter-in-law, Adonna. He was preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Pruette, his mother, Grace; stepfather, Ed McClain; his first wife, Pat; daughter, Annie; son, Michael and his brother, Frank.

Cecil attended Rock Hill schools and graduated in 1955. He served 37 years in the US Army and SC National Guard. He worked as an E.M.T. for York County General Hospital.

Cecil spent 17 years working in the SC State Parks and retired from the City of Rock Hill in the late 1990's. He served as a short time missionary, mostly with Volunteers in Medical Missions. He was a Gideon since 1972 and served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board. He was a Chaplain for the American Legion Post #66 and volunteered with the Billy Graham Library. Cecil was a member of Tirzah ARP Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tirzah ARP Church Cemetery Fund, in York, SC.
