Cecile T. Maynard, 86, of Enfield and formerly of East Hartford, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at St Joseph Residence in Enfield. Born September 29, 1927 in Wauregan, CT, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Merance (Plantier) Maynard. Cecile lived most of her adult life in service to God, as a Nun in the Order of the Sisters of St Joseph. She enjoyed dancing with the South Windsor Square Dance Club, time spent with family and her friends at the North-End Seniors.

Cecile is survived by 3 nephews, Michael Pardi of Windsor Locks, Richard Maynard of Bristol, and Marcel Maynard of Glastonbury; a niece Elaine Newcomb of South Carolina; other relatives; and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters Antoinette Pardi, Sister Helen Maynard and three brothers; Fr Leo Maynard, Laurent Maynard and Earnest Maynard; and 2 nieces Denise Kutz and Jeannine Ford.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Cecile's life on Wednesday, July 23, 11:00am in the Chapel of St Joseph/Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT. Memorial Contributions may be made in Cecile's name to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.

The Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral home of East Hartford is assisting with arrangements.
