I taught Sissy back in the '70's at Southwood Academy. Years later I was her son's kindergarten teacher and we reconnected. She was such a positive lady with a beautiful smile and zest for life. May God comfort her family in the days ahead.

I am so sorry for all of you. She loved each and every person she came in contact with. She and I were best of friends in school but each of us took different paths in life. I would see her at HHS when I would visit my mom and we would speak like we never stopped. She was a great person that was dealt a life that is hard for most of us to imagine. She loved you Melanie and your brother and I know you know that. I know she was lost when your brother went to be with the Lord and she never got over that pain. I may not make it to the services but will be praying for all of you in this difficult time.

Melanie, your Mom was truly a kind and loving person. I worked with her in Special Education at HHS for 15 years. She loved you dearly and always talked about you. She was always battling her health. One thing I will never forget is how fast she was in anything that dealt with Math. She was very gifted!! She never walked anywhere, those tiny legs would go speeding by my room. I wish her life had not been so hard to live. One thing we shared was the loss of our sons. You don't know that pain and I pray you will never find out, but your Mom suffered immensely! I will not be at her service but I will be thinking of you. I want to remember her smiling face in HHS halls, mostly laughing at me!!
All my love ,
Mrs. Libby

She was one of my favorite babysitters when I a kid. She was a loving and caring teacher to many students at HHS including my self. She will be miss by many in the community. May God blessed the Grisham family. Prayers and condolences are sent by the Wood Family.
