Cecily MORRIS

MORRIS, Cecily Fenton Eville (1915 - 2003) In Chatham, Ontario, on February 12, 2003 at the Cooper Terrace Residence with daughter Shirley at her side. Mrs. Morris was predeceased by her parents; four sisters and one brother; son, Michael (1983) and husband, Jack Morris (1991). She leaves 6 great-grandchildren, 7 grandchildren and Heather Whiklo of Toronto, Shirley MacDonald of Chatham and Christopher of Nepean, Ontario. Cecily was born in Halifax, grew up in Wolfville/Kentville, marrying Jack Morris in 1934. They moved to Ottawa during the war but lived most of their lives in Cornwall, Ontario. Mr. Morris was Plant Manager at Courtaulds Canada's rayon textile manufacturing plant. Mrs. Morris was an avid golfer, winning the Ladies Cornwall Championship in 1977. During five years of declining health, she maintained her dignity and more often than not, had a big smile on her face. The family wishes to profoundly thank the staff and management of the Cooper Terrace and especially Cecily's caregivers on 2nd North. In mid July, there will be a family gathering at the Eville monument in Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, Nova Scotia.
