Dear Joe and family,
Joyce and I are deeply saddened to learn of Cecily's passing.
We were taken back to over 40 years ago when the 4 of us went out on several dates together, and visiting you in your duplex in Cote-St-Luc. Its now been over a year since the 4 of us had dinner and once again enjoyed your company.
Never had we witnessed anyone provide for the necessities of a loved one as you have, Joe. It was a true inspiration.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

All our love.

Your cousins,

Larry Heitner

My sympathy to the entire family. My name is Howard Berlin and I am the son of Annette Gradinger Berlin. Many years ago, about 40 years ago, I had the pleasure of attending a concert at Place Des Arts and I accompanied my mother. Who should be sitting right beside us but Cecily and her Dad Eugene. My mother knew Eugene of course, because Mom is a Solomon cousin. I was introduced to both Eugene and Cecily. Often my mother and I have recalled meeting these two cousins at the concert. I, my wife, and my two children moved to Calgary in 1982. My mother finally moved to Calgary as well about 3 years ago. She was a great volunteer at various organizations, and she enjoyed her life in Calgary. On Oct. 23, 1997 my mother suffered a massive stroke and she is paralyzed. She has her mind and she can speak. Most unfortunately, now about 10 weeks later, since Rehabilitation was of no help, my mother Annette is on a list to go to a nursing home.
I had no information that Cecily became ill so long ago, and losing her I am sure is extemely painful for all who knew her. Once again, my sypathies.
