Celeste Gallegos Obituary
Celeste was born on Monday, March 31, 1997, in Odessa, Texas, to Alonzo and Sonia Gallegos.
God blessed our lives with Celeste for a short time. During that time she delighted in listening to music, going to the moves, riding horses and playing loteria. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends and loved spending time with her loved ones and family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Alonzo and Sonia Gallegos of Kermit, Texas; two brothers, Alonzo Gallegos Jr., and Manuel Gallegos of Kermit, Texas; two sisters, Elena Gallegos and Margarita Gallegos of Kermit, Texas; three grandparents, Elia Muniz of Kermit, Texas, Raul Arturo Medrano of El Paso, Texas, and Ignacia Olivas of Ojinaga, Mexico; two great-grandparents, Eugenio and wife Maria Muniz of Kermit, Texas, and Bernave and wife Maria Medrano of Fort Hancock, Texas.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Manuel Rey Gallegos.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. at Family Services Funeral Chapel Thursday, Jan. 29, and Friday, January 30, 2009. Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Father Waiwood. Pallbearers will be: Raul Arturo Medrano Jr., Bernave "Bernie" Medrano, Oscar Urias, Juan Manuel Muniz Jr. Andres Gallegos, Abdiel Ortega, Manuel Herbey Urias Jr., Thomas Montes, and Joel Gallegos. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Alonzo Gallegos Sr., Alonzo Gallegos Jr., Manuel Gallegos, and Apolinar Bustillos.
Interment will be follow at the Kermit Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor.

God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command we return to dust. I pray for the dead, Especially for Celeste Gallegos. May those who have been dear to me in life find a place with You in heaven. Lord, those who die still live in Your presence; their lives change but do not end. I pray in hope for my family, relatives & friends, and for all the dead known to You alone. Admit them all to Your eternal happiness in heaven. Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. In company with Christ Who died and now lives may they rejoice in Your kingdom where all our tears are wiped away. Sonia,
I was very upset to hear about Celeste. I can remember seeing her on Monday when you all were waiting to get admitted, and I said something to her and she just "smiled". She was always a delight to see and please know that we are all very sadden to lose her and we will miss her. May you and your family find comfort in knowing that she is with our beloved Father looking down on us. May God Bless you all.
