GREENSBORO - Mrs. Celia S. Goldfarb, 89, a resident of Abbotswood Retirement Community, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007, at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, at Temple Emanuel, 1129 Jefferson Road. Officiating will be Rabbi Fred Guttman. Burial will follow in the Hebrew Cemetery.
Mrs. Goldfarb was born on June 4, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Solomon and Sarah Sisser. She had a distinguished real estate sales career of over 40 years working with Zauber Reality and Herman Pickett Real Estate. When she started in the real estate business in Greensboro, she was one of few women in real estate sales at that time.
Mrs. Goldfarb was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Leonard Goldfarb; brothers and sisters, Louis Sisser, Ida Alperin, Jennie Lipson, Morris Sisser and Libbie Dubin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steven Goldfarb of Fishersville, Va., Marty Goldfarb and wife, Nita of Waxhaw; two grandchildren, Suzanne Goldfarb of Woodstock, Ga. and Lee Nichols and husband, Jason of Duluth, Ga.; and one great grandchild, Carter Ellen Nichols.
Memorials may be made to the Sara Jill and Leo Goldfarb Fund, c/o Temple Emanuel, 1129 Jefferson Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27410.
Hanes Lineberry Vanstory Chapel is serving the Goldfarb family.

Dear Marty and Steve,
Your parents' interest in TEPS and support of the school have touched so many young lives over the years, including those of my two children. I cannot tell you how much the school meant to our family.
