SINCLAIR
CELIA C.
Celia C. Sinclair, 72, of Shadyside, died peacefully at home on May 3, 2004, from breast cancer. She died as she lived with courage and dignity. She will always be remembered for her extraordinary acts of selflessness, her grace and sense of humor in the face of adversity, and the unconditional love she had for her children, family and friends. Celia was an active philanthropist with a quiet determination to help others succeed. She saw the good in people first and often acted to foster that goodness. She leaves behind not only a legacy of strength and generosity but also a spirit of laughter. Before health problems interfered, she was an avid skier, tennis player and world traveler. She particularly loved the coast of Maine and spent the summer months there. Celia's cheerful nature and ease with people made it possible for her to make a new life for herself after being widowed at a young age. She made friends easily and will be missed by many. Celia is survived by her children, Amy M. and Taylor C. Sinclair and their spouses, Tux Turkel and Anna Kristie Sinclair. Her husband, Carroll E. Sinclair, predeceased her by 23 years. Guests will be received at the Sinclair family home on Sunday, May 9, 2004, 4 pm to 8 pm. For more information please contact JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC. 4900 Centre Ave. At Devonshire Street. (412) 621-1665. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 10 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Shadyside. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, P.O. Box 7028, Cape Porpoise, ME 04014

Amy and Taylor-

In an instant, my heart flooded when Tracey called me with the news of your Mother's death. Although it has been many years, our time together came back in a flash...so many memories. Through it all, I remember your Mom being strong, perceptive, caring, troubled at times, and always so kind.

You and your family have our deepest sympathy.

Love,

Paige, Mrs.P, Mance, and Tracey

Although I had been a neighbor of Celia's for only 3 years, she impressed me greatly. My husband and I had also grown to love the coast of Maine, and Celia was most helpful in telling us about the things to see and enjoy there.

I will miss her dry wit and great kindness. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Carolyn
