Celia Berry Warren

Port St Lucie - Celia Berry Warren, 86, passed peacefully in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on January 6, 2024. An incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Celia cherished all of her immediate and large extended family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Douglas Warren, her son Wayne Warren (Sandy Katsikas) of Goffstown, NH, daughter Christine McGuire (Tim McGuire) of Brookline, MA, her five grandchildren Travis Lovering (Jamie Lovering) of Weare, NH, Nicole Warren (Ana Warren) of Manchester, NH, Sean Warren (Kristen Warren) of Bradford, NH, Jennifer Warren of Manchester, NH, and Dillon McGuire (Danny Clanton) of New York, NY. She was blessed with many great grandchildren, Austin, Joshua, Nicholia, Tobias, Wesley, and Wyatt.

A native of Chester, NH, Celia was the youngest child of Wayland and Alta Berry. She is survived by a brother, Paul Berry (Edna Berry) of Concord NH, and predeceased by siblings Donald Berry, Wayland Berry, Gilbert Berry, Barbara Billings, Joan Hicks, and Nancy Berry. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews and their many children and grandchildren.

Celia graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH in 1955 and went on to a long career in the insurance industry as an underwriter at NH Insurance/AIG, the Home Insurance company, and retiring from Acadia insurance in 1999.

She lived in Goffstown, NH for most of her adult life until her retirement when she and her husband moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida for the winter months and spent summers in York Beach, Maine.

She enjoyed many hobbies including operating a ceramics shop in Goffstown, painting, pen & ink drawing and in her later years playing bocce and shuffleboard with her friends in Florida. A deeply spiritual person, she was very involved in several Episcopal parish communities including, Grace Church in Manchester, NH, St Matthew's in Goffstown, NH, St. George's in York, Maine, Holy Spirit and the Church of the Nativity both in Port St Lucie, Florida. She loved to sing and was a member of several church choirs, and the Sun City Community Chorus.

She made friends everywhere she went, and she will be remembered for her irrepressible energy, gregarious laugh, and the many parties she hosted bringing others together in the spirit of communal fun. Her life-long love affair with her husband Doug was the fuel for her extraordinary life, and she asked before she passed to share this message: "I have gone to a wonderful place, and I thank everyone for the love with which you have surrounded me!"

A funeral will be held at the Church of the Nativity in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Friday, January 12, 11 AM. A service of remembrance will follow in her native NH early next summer. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
