I didn't get to meet Chad, but I know he will be missed. My condolences to the family. I graduated with Neal and know he will miss Chad.

My Best Fishing Buddy

I could see him standing on the bank
I got a big-un as the reel he cranked.
His eyes was shining as big as a star.
Paw, we may have to pull it in with the car.

Fishing n hunting was always on Chad's mind.
He said,"Going fishing was good any ole time.
Paw, Don't just look around where you stand,
Can't you see I got my rods in my hand.

I can see him talking with Jesus and the Father,
Asking, now that we met can I fish in that river's swift water?
Then Jesus gave him a reel one made of solid gold.
Son, when you catch the big one reel fast, keep a good hold.

I can see him now as by life's river he stands.
Just laughing and casting with his new rod in his hands.
Lord we pray when at last we cross life's rageing tide,
Just save us a fishing spot right by Chad's side.

Hey brother we had soe good times. Seems like only yesterday I saw you and Jeff at the store. We drifted apart as friendship all to often do, but great thing is when we saw each other it was as though we did so everyday. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I only wish that everyone realizes what a true friend you were and that heaven has one of the best guys looking down on us now.

I didnt know Chad, my group and I happened to ride up right after the accident and his fate was still unknown,I am so sorry the way it turned out. my 13 year old son was with me and he and I still talk about it and how sad this is. our prayers go out to the whole family . GOD BLESS !

On this day all of us back on earth cried for the loss of a wonderful friend, husband, father and son. On this day God and all His Angels rejoiced to bring home one of His children. I can still remember the very first time i ever met you and krisi so many years ago. You made friends wherever you went and Krisi was the sweetest girl who would help anyone out. I am Chris Higginbotham's mom, what I remember he always had respect for me & spend many times when my son was in school. He was always kind to me. May God bless the family for their lost. There is a book by Rebecca Springer that gives so much hope of a future with our loved ones who have died. It's called "My dream of Heaven" or "Intra Muros". It gave me a lot of peace. God Bless You during this time.

I was at the hospital the morning Chad was born, and then years later I was able to interact with him some in his middle school years.
