Jenkins, Charla The Celebration of Life Service for CHARLA JENKINS will take place on September 15, 2018, 4:00 p.m., in Crafton Preyer Theater, Murphy Hall, on the KU campus. Charla was the beloved daughter of Bud & Christine Jenkins (deceased) of Emporia, KS, and sister of Raye Street of Wichita, KS, a niece, Dana Setter, and two nephews, Cody (Laurie) & John (Sherri) Street, 10 great-nieces/nephews and 13 great-great-nieces & nephews, favorite cousin, Jackie Parsons (Steve) of San Diego and her daughters, Jenny & Lindsey. Charla was predeceased by cousins, Larry Bonczkowski, Marge King, Chris Bonczkowski & Steve Bonczkowski. Surviving cousins are Tyce Smith, Lorena Carlson, David Bonczkowski, Paul Bonczkowski & Lee Bonczkowski. Her longtime caregivers, Candy & Felicia Patterson, also mourn her death. A gathering after the service will be held at the Harbour Lights, 1031 Massachusetts St, Lawrence. Charla will be remembered for her love of theater students, colleagues, and KU basketball.
