CHARLENE BODNARCHUK Obituary

Charlene passed away unexpectedly at Royal University Hospital. Charlene grew up on a farm near Hafford, SK. After high school she pursued a career as a nurse. Dear to her were her family, her dogs, and flowers she planted each year. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Michael; son, Nathan; daughter, Nicole (Bradley Kuzyk); parents, Peter and Val Swystun; sister, Wanda (Joe) Novakowski and their son Bradley and daughter Brittany; brother, Jeff; mother-in-law, Joan Bodnarchuk; sisters-in-law, Theresa and Rosalie; brothers-in-law, Garry (Leeanne Nagy), Mervin (Melinda Dubyk) and their son Riley; Chris; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Charlene also touched many lives working as a Registered Nurse at St. Paul's Hospital. She will also be missed by her babies (dogs) Bailey, Calli and grandbaby Myla. Charlene joins in eternal peace her father in law, Steve Bodnarchuk; grandparents, Bill and Minnie Symchych and Mike and Mary Swystun; uncle, Sylvester Symchych; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Shewchuk; and her dog, Oreo. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 3R5 or St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, 1702 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9. Prayers for Charlene will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Janko Kolosnjaji at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013. Both services the Prayers and Divine Liturgy will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George, 214 Avenue M South, Saskatoon, SK. I am so saddened to hear of Charlene's sudden passing. What a profound and tragic loss. I loved her amazing smile, and her ability to make you feel like you've known her forever. It is through friends that I heard of the sudden passing of Charlene. I'm a neighbor who often met Charlene in the park while walking the dogs. My dog, Penny, would bark endlessly at Charlene's dogs.
