Uncle Charles (Sherrie) you leave us with beautiful memories abound, a life well lived and a sadness that we can only hope heals with time. What I do know is that you are at peace and your spirit will live on long after the day that you took your leave for a glory that knows no end. Until we meet again Uncle Charles. With much love today and beyond, your grand_nephew (Gerald, son to Carrie Richburg Giliard, daughther to Henry Richburg sister to Sherrie Richburg Aiken). We speak your name Charles S. Aiken, we will always speak your name. Yours is a presence that we'll soon not forget. Love and miss you always

To My Beloved Family,
My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy go out to Aunt Sherrie and my entire Aiken Family. Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow felt by the loss of Uncle Charles.
He was a blessing to everyone he came into contact with and made everyone smile when he walked into a room. May the memory of Uncle Charles and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.
Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your family and friends for strength, and always remember how much you are loved by us all.
With love and remembrance,
The Maliks

Dearest Aunt Sherrie and family, I wish I could be there right now to give all of you a big hug. Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel. We know death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but God. I can't imagine what you are feeling right now, but I pray that the peace of God will comfort you during this time. May our condolences and prayers ease your pain of this loss. Holding those fond memories of Uncle Charles close and dear in my heart forever. (Some memories are: As a teenager in Brooklyn, I would always look to ride his bus when I left downtown Brooklyn to go home; he was always a "fatherly" figure to me. Another one is watching him bowl at the bowling alley... what a bowler!!! And last but not least, for a long time I kept asking Uncle, for him to tell me his life story. Finally, two years ago, we both sat at his dining room table and I recorded his life's journey (Uncle smiled many times as he reminisced!). I count it a real privilege to do that ... what a gentle giant! Love and miss you Uncle. Rest in Jesus! Always love you!!! Trusella)

I love you uncle Charles and your entire family. You showed me what a father was supposed to be. I loved talking to you about military stories, traveling and the nba. I enjoyed hanging out with you watching games especially on Christmas. Your spirit lives on through aunt Sherrie, my godmother Karenya, Terri, Wayne, Nicki, Teyonna, Sherice, Lashanna, Rockiya, and the many lovely grandchildren you have, so youre never gone. I know youll give them strength through your spirit and I wish I could be there when your lifes work is celebrated.
Again I love you and thank you for being a man I could look up to.
