I am going to South Africa to find out how it has changed since my father left! Join me!

Afterwards, I am going to Broken Hill in New South Wales to see where my grandfather was born, Charles Ashworth II. Join me!

Charles Ashworth III was my father, a wonderful man and a great raconteur! He was born in South Africa in 1937 and came to London in 1956 to study dentistry at Guy's Hospital! He ran a huge practice in Croydon, with over ten thousand patients! In 1997, Charles (Senior) retired and enjoyed twenty further years of good health. He travelled widely, and enjoyed going down to his holiday home in Wales with his Welsh wife, Hazel! We shall not see his like again!
