Charles Bacon Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Joseph Bacon announces his passing.
Forever remembered by his wife of 60 years Laura-Belle, His sister, Sister Mary Bacon, His son Big John and favorite daughter-in-law Ashley, his puppy - Bonnie-Belle and grand puppy Ricochet.
He was a heavy construction crane operator in Brooklyn and Manhattan sand yards with Local 14 Operating Engineers. He served as a corporal in the US Marine Corp and ended his military career as a veteran serving in the Korean War from 1954 to 1957. Rest in Power!!
The "Celebration of Life" service will be held at Babione - Kraeer Funeral Home: 1100 N Federal Hwy. Boca Raton, FL 33432 on January 6th, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm.
The family requests no flowers to be sent and no donations !

What an amazing celebration of life for Charles. i met him first time at Ashley and Johns pool party. He was quiet but what a presence. i could tell that he was a nice and gentle soul. i will miss seeing him . My condolences go to John, Ashley and all the family.

I had the honor and pleasure of knowing Mr. Bacon after John and I met at St. Joseph´s in Patchogue back in 1985. He was a very kind and genuinely sincere man and always enjoyed his story telling, whether it was in Mineola or Montauk. I always felt at home when I visited either place. Your father led a long a great life John! I know you will all miss him but we will all see each other again. May God Bless Mr. Bacon - with peaceful and heartfelt sympathy to both Ashley and John.

My heart goes out to Laura-Belle, Mary, Big John & Ashley for the loss of their beloved Charles Bacon. I was lucky to spend time with Charles at a few holiday get togethers and have enjoyed all the photos ashley shares on social media. There is always so much love surrounding the Bacons. When I´m visiting with big John & Ashley not a visit goes by that big John isn´t on the phone with his cherished mom & dad. It´s a wonderful relationship of commitment & love. I realize there are no words of comfort for the passing of a parent. All you can do is hold on to your personal memories (good & maybe not so good at times) but our parents teach us to be strong and as my Mom used to say "death is part of life. We all get through it and life goes on" seems matter of fact but she was a women that had a lifetime of wisdom as I´m sure your dad had. Having friends and family to help you through this time is important but when it comes down to it your dad had a major part in who you are today. A loving husband, a wonderful son and a good friend. I am so blessed to have shared almost 18 amazing years with my father-in-law, and to be a part of the Bacon family! Dad Bacon was a force to be reckoned with, a strong and gentle giant. We all loved him, and we will miss this proud marine who loved his country and touched the lives of so many. I am so very sorry, John, that you lost your daddy, and Mrs. Laura that you´ve lost your soulmate. I must say every memory I have of visiting Florida, Laura and Charles have always been there. They are a part of EVERY family memory we have. He was a fantastic father-in-law to my sister, Ashley. He did, indeed, always have such a calming presence about himself. Truly a gentleman, and a powerful leader of his family. We will miss you Dad Bacon.

Oh, how sad I am to read this. I have the sweetest memories of Charles Bacon of any person I know of. He was a gentleman with the kindest and the most gentle patience I have ever seen.
He will be missed terribly by his wife and daughter in law and especially his only son. As they were extremely close and the best of friends.
If you ever met Charles, you would love him right away, no way. Could you meet Charles and not have high regulates for him. He will be missed by so many. It will be with a broken heart for me to say good bye from North Carolina. May God be with his wife and son , looking after them for Charles. I am sending warm sweet hugs to each of them!
