Charles Burns Obituary
He was the beloved husband of Julia M. (Foley) Burns of Andover, MA for 50 years, devoted father of Patrick Burns, father-in-law of Tracy, and grandfather of Evelyn Charlotte of Santa Monica, CA. He was also the proud uncle of 25 nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by two older brothers Edward Jr. and Robert Burns. He was born in Bangor, ME to Edward Sr. and Ada Burns.
Charles attended Hampden Academy where he was a 3-sport athlete in baseball, basketball, football; he was also a life-long Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. He graduated high school in 1944 and enlisted in the US Navy, serving as a radioman during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Charles completed a bachelors degree from the University of Maine, Orono, and an accounting certificate from Bentley College. He enjoyed a long career with the Arlington Trust Company in the Merrimack Valley.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, June 18th at 12:30pm at St. Augustine's Church 43 Essex Street, Andover, Massachusetts, 01810.

Dear Patrick,
I recall a time, when we worked together on a project --before your marriage and daughter-- when you traveled home to visit your mom and dad. Through you, I discovered how lovely they were/are. You are fortunate. Thanks for sharing the gifts you acquired through them with others.

i am so sorry to hear of Everett's passing. I haven't seen him since good old Cherryfield Days, your uncle George passed away 1993. Its hard to believe after all this time. My condolences go out to the whole family. Even though I never met you, I am your cousin Pamela daughter of Kathleen & George Burns. RIP Everett
