So sorry for your loss. Charlie was my boss for my guidance position early in my career. I was impressed with his kindness and compassion towards everyone he encountered. I always admired him as an educational leader. He truly walked the walk of what it means to be in education. He was great to me and he was a great person. I knew him and his family and I feel lucky to have known him like I did. His reassurance and encouragement helped me become what I am today as an educator. I will never forget how he supported me. I sincerely send sympathy to his loving family. He was always so proud of all of his kids. His kindness will becremembered.

My wife and I were deeply saddened to learn of Mr Carrolls passing. We were both students of his at Pine Grove School and he was hands down our favorite teacher there even when he pegged you with a piece of chalk. He was deadly accurate too. We were also fortunate to have him again in high school as a guidance counselor. He was a truly great person and teacher. We are all the better for having known him. RIP CC.

Mr Carrol was in my mind the only decent adult in the room when I was in jr high school. So kind and caring. He did like to throw chalk though but always hit the floor.

Charlie will be missed by all. As I was watching my brother (Manly Solovicos) play softball for the Maple Leafs in the Salem fastpitch softball league I did not realize that Charlie was on the same team until he told me when we were playing golf one day at Wenham C.C. and he did also taught with my brother in the Peabody School System. What a small world, he will be dearly missed.

Mr. Carroll you were the best 5th grade teacher anyone could have had. You lit a fire in me for math and never minded staying late just to feed that fire. I will never forget you.

He was my home room teacher in 5th grade when I 1st moved to Rowley. Everyone thought he was my father as we shared the same last name. Great advice as a guidance counselor after we went to Triton. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Mr. Carroll was always kind and supportive to me, encouraging me to achieve beyond what a "girl" was expected to be able to do in 1974. He was ahead of the times! He had more confidence in me than I did. He was able to find scholarships that allowed me to afford college. I also thank him for that. Condolences to his family- and take comfort in knowing he was a kind and decent person with a life well lived. -Dale J Gordon, Caribou,ME Triton '74

Charlie, you were the quintessential gentleman: learned, witty, and with a genuine respect and affection for others. One of your witticisms was Nobody Died and in the end, neither did you. You will live on brightly in our memories.

Charlie Carroll was my mentor and my friend. I worked with him at Triton for 28 years. He taught me so many things. Charlie was kind and cared deeply about the students and the mental health of all the staff. He touched the lives of many. Charlie had a great sense of humor, liked to tell silly jokes, and usually was the one who laughed the most. He loved his family and was very proud of them. I enjoyed exchanging updates about his children and grandchildren. A true gentleman, one of a kind; he will be missed.

Charlie will always be remembered as an incredibly caring and dedicated Guidance Counselor and Educator. It was a privilege to have worked with him at Triton for 30 years. I can see him now, walking down the hallway going up to a student and saying, "Son, would you please pick up that paper on the floor? ... Thank you"... and they always did. I can also hear him saying to me me when I wore a sport jacket and tie, which I did not often do, "Hey, you know you don't look half bad when you dress up!" God Bless, Charlie... your professional and personal life was well lived and you dedicated many years in the service to others. My sincere sympathy to Barbara and the family. Rest in Peace, Charlie.
