Charles Earl Catlett

Charles Earl Catlett, 49, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Union Hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1958, in Indianapolis, to the union of Charles “Cadillac” Catlett and Janice Louise Catlett. Earl spent most of his life doing what he was very passionate about, which was upholstery. He worked at Favre Upholstery, starting at the age of 18. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Catlett; his paternal grandparents, Willie and Lucinda Catlett; and his maternal grandparents, Johnny Johnson and Margaret Johnson Ewing.Earl leaves to mourn his passing his son, Charles Matthew Catlett of Terre Haute; his mother, Janice Louise Catlett of DeKalb, Ill.; a sister, Linda Mazeqie and husband John of Terre Haute; three brothers, Bryan Catlett and Christopher Catlett, both of Indianapolis, and Timothy Catlett and wife Renata of DeKalb, Ill.; longtime friend, Jill Jones of Terre Haute; special granddaughter, Myonna Catlett of Terre Haute; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Services are 1 p.m. today at Israel of God’s Church, 801 Gilbert Ave. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services in the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Russell Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
