Fiercely independent, Charlie was a successful businessman, lifelong athlete and fitness fan who loved fast cars, motorcycles, water skiing and boating, scuba diving, good books, and funny stories.
Charlie is survived by siblings Suzanne Matenaer of Milwaukee, Kathy (Richard) Dennis of Plover, Tom (Laura) Matenaer of Phoenix, Pat (Wess) Vogt of Mequon and Jane Matenaer (Paul Nicholls) of Milwaukee, nieces Sofia (Antonio) Giles, Vicki (John) Stallman, Carrisa Matenaer, Lindsay (Ryan) Solie, Elisa (Anthony) Maglio, nephews Rick Dennis, Brant (Veronica) Vogt, Jacob Matenaer, great-nieces Alexis Randolph, Savannah and Madison Solie, great-nephews Grayson, Lincoln and Maxwell Vogt, and Leo Maglio as well as dear friends and extended family.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Marcel and Valeria Matenaer of Hartford, Wisconsin.
There will be a private Celebration of Life.
