I'm deeply saddened, shocked and heartbroken for the passing of my childhood friend Chuck Cioffi.
We grew up together and shared many memories that will never be forgotten. Chuck was a best friend to my brother John and my very first crush. I believe that may have been the first time I experienced butterflies. At first it was his hair that I was always drawn to but when he smiled I just couldn't wait until my brother John would ask him to hang out again. I was completely infatuated but will always remember how much I laughed with him and how kind he was. I think that's what made me feel so comfortable to experience my very first kiss! And with my brothers best friend. Ha!
John always kept me up to date with Chuck and would often read me his hysterical short but witty text messages that we would laugh so hard at. Chuck surprised me and came to my 40th birthday party! Then another time at Christmas with my Mom. That was the last time I got to see him and give him a hug. Time never changed things.
I wanted to share this with his family, friends and all the people who loved him dearly. I will cherish all the unforgettable memories and keep him close to my heart.
Sending all my love, strength, sympathy and prayers to his family, friends and loved ones.
Chuck you will be missed!

I did not know Chuck, but I work with and am friends with his sister Caren. I've also had the privilege of meeting his parents. I am so sorry for your loss. Grief ripples out to touch everyone connected in some way to the one we have lost. We grieve with you and send you our wishes for strength and faith during these difficult times.

With heartfelt sympathy, I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2)
