Thanks you Charlie for a trip to Amish country. You couldn't go on your trip so you gave it to me. I needed that weekend. I think of it often and can't thank you enough for it.

Charlie was such an encourager. He helped with my photography, encouraged my writing and even gave me a trip to a writing conference in Amish country that I will never forget. We often talked of Margaret and her tea cups and working with the deaf. I saw him give money to people on the street who needed it and he had a love of God that showed through all he did. I cannot be there but I remember and will keep on remembering

My wife, Jeanette Weddington, because her dad, Cottle Weddington's youngest sister, Catherine was married to Woodrow Clevenger in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, knew Charlie very well.. We attended a Clevenger reunion party in New Boston at Elwood Turner's home. Elwood's mother was a Clevenger.
Charlie was a fine writer of poems and New Boston stories for the Scioto Voice. He and his wife, Margaret were life-long friends of ours.
We know Charlie as a fine Christian.
Sincerely,
Jeanette and Sam Kegley

Deepest sympathy to the family in this time of your dear loss. May you find peace and solace with family and friends. May you comfort from the words of Isaiah 51:12 I...I myself am the One comforting you"

Although our hearts are broken
Charlie has gone to a better place
Now he is back with his Margaret
His home on Earth, Heaven will replace
A friend from the first time I met him
I know about everyone felt the same
In the Scioto Voice I would read a poem
It was beautiful, it had Charlie's name
He had the talent to write many things
Be it a poem or just a story about his life
He at times would write about Margaret
The lady who loved him, his wonderful wife
Charlie now will be writing his poems for God
They will be more lovely than ones on Earth
I know that God has read every verse he wrote
He will now give Charlie a Heavenly berth

Wonderful caring man. Always enjoyed talking with Charlie anywhere you would see him & especially @ the Wheelersburg Camera Club. He was always so helpful to the newer persons that had just gotten interested in photography. Charlie will be missed by so many. Richard & Shirley Horn (Wheelersburg, Ohio) Condolences to his family.
