Charles Rosevelt Davis, known affectionately as "OT," passed away on August 25, 2024, in Davenport, IA, at the age of 69. Born on November 23, 1955, in Springfield, IL, he was a son to Shirley Davis and Charles Rosevelt Davis Sr.

Charles was a man of honor and strength, cherished for his roles as a loving father, brother, and son. His life was marked by a deep passion for music, dancing, and reading, which brought joy not only to him but to all who knew him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and respect, survived by his siblings Paul Davis, James Davis, Margaret Davis, and Tanya Barbour. He was a proud grandfather to Lavana Davis, Devante Dickerson, and Cornelious Davis, and a great-grandfather to Marlo Davis and Dangela Davis. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Peter Davis. He was also A Loving Husband to Ruby Jean Davis.

A gathering to honor and celebrate his life will be held at his sister, Margaret Davis's house at 3025 W 72nd St Apt 2, Davenport, IA, 52806, on August 26, 2024, at 3 PM. His family invites friends and loved ones to join in remembering a man whose life was as vibrant and enduring as the values he imparted.

I send my deepest condolences to the Davis family. We grew up together in Springfield IL on Kansas street. Charles and my brother Danny were best of friends. I will never forget that smile with them squinched up eyes. He had a beautiful spirit. I'm sure he will be missed. Family, lift your eyes to the hills whence comes your help. Psalms 121:1 Prayers going up for you all

We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my cousin, Charles. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly challenging time.

Although words can't take away the pain, I hope you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared with Charles and the love and support of those around you. Charles will always be remembered for how he loved his family. Charles taught me so much about life and protected me while holding me accountable to the standards of our family. My cousin, Charles, is now and will be forever in my heart.

Rest in Power my cousin, you have fought a good fight!
