Charles Daw Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 14, 2018.
Charles Michael Daw, age 65, of Eddystone, passed away on February 14, 2018. Charles, better know as "Chuck" or "Chucky" was a fun loving individual with a huge heart. He adored his family & friends especially his children and grandchild. We know for a fact he wasn't ready to leave this earth, as he had gravy and meatballs cooking in the crock pot when he passed. Our only thought is the good Lord above smelled that deliciousness and knew he had to have some too! Dad was always happy to share and usually tried to feed his entire apartment building what ever it was that he was making. He recently had cataracts surgery and could finally see well! No more getting into strangers cars, or thinking his daughter Lisa was an Uber driver! Our most favorite recent incident is when he thought our black cat was his jacket and tried to pick him up off the chair and wear him like a fur stole. Our father never missed an opportunity to make us laugh. He liked asking our Amazon Echo to play crazy music and then dance his heart out. But always called her the wrong name...Alex, Alexis..etc. He loved the Eagles and we're most grateful he watched them win the Super Bowl! He was a wonderful artist, could play the electric guitar and loved fishing. Loved watching Good Day Philadelphia in the morning with Mike & Alex. He would always let us know what ever crazy "national day" it was. This man was our joy and happiness and we are honored and blessed to have called him Dad and Pop Pop. Our hearts will forever have an enormous hole from the pain of this loss. We love you daddy. We will miss you and that silly smile. Until we meet again..... He's predeceased by his wife, Rosemary C. Daw, brother, James Evan Daw, and parents, James and Domenica "Micky" Daw. Survivors include his children, Leslieann "Lisa" (Louis) Ciarrocchi, Kimberly A. Daw, James Daw and grandson, Jared Ciarrocchi Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, Pa 19074, from 9:00-11:00am followed by his Funeral Liturgy at 11:00am.

Chucky was my best friend throughout our years at Longstreth. He was larger than life. Sorry the years and our lives got in the way. I´ll never forget Chucky and Jimmy. Rest easy fellas.

I'll always remember Chuck and I sitting on the steps of the Bat house in the Poconos, and him teaching me how to draw. Life was so good. We love you Chuck. Always in our hearts. Cousin Deb and Phil Beasley, Pitman,NJ
