Charles Dennis Obituary
COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Charles Clayton Dennis, 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at Jackson Creek Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mr. Dennis died Sunday, May 24, 2015. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Ernest Dennis and Ethel Williams Dennis. He graduated from Dentsville High School, retired as an assistant vice president of mortgage banking from Wachovia and owned Gold Bug Frames and Gallery. He was a Master Mason and loved to shag dance, play the guitar and garden. Mr. Dennis was a member of Enon United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia “Trisha”; daughter, Sophia Dennis Pacheco; son, Charles “Chuck” Dennis, Jr.; all of Columbia; grandchildren, Hannah Maria Black, David Alexander Pacheco; step-grandchild, Alexis Pacheco; and great-grandson, Dakota Wayne Black-Butler.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Betty Walters, Wynona Bagley, Sylvia Stepp and Faye Byars.
Memorials may be made to Jackson Creek Baptist Church, 7778 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204.

I know it has been 3 years since you went to Heaven but Daddy, I love you and miss you more and more everyday. I have not gone to your grave sight to visit because I would rather be able to see your handsome face like I can on the webpage I'm on. Hey Daddy, Happy Easter! I went to visit with you today and I took you a flower arrangement but Chuck took you a dancing Leilani. LOl He even put it on with caulk to make sure it doesn't move. Well I miss you more and more every day. I fell apart before I could even get to the gate. I love you so much and the amount of love and admiration I feel for you just keeps growing stronger and stronger. Say hello to Mama, Mammy and all the others, Love you forever.

HAPPY EASTER DADDY!!! We really miss you this Easter. Things did not go to great today, maybe next year it will be better. I miss you, Mama, Mammy and all the rest. I want you to know that you have always been such a strong part of our lives and a huge part of our lives is missing now. I have faith that things will get better, I just don't know when. Hey Daddy, as Thanksgiving Day 2016 has come to an end, I still want to tell you thank you. I thank you for my past, I thank you for my present and I thank you for my future. It is getting harder and harder to be here without you, it seems as though I am remembering all the things you did more and more. I love you so much and I am sorry that I have not been strong enough to visit your grave site but I will get up enough strength to do that one of these days. It was a year ago today that the angels lifted you up into the Lord's palace. There is not a day that I don't wonder what would Daddy do or what would Daddy think or say about a situation. You were and still are the very most amazing person that I have ever encountered in my life. You were and always will be a blessing to me and I hope that I will be able to keep your thoughts and dreams alive through what I do. My dear loving papa, you were and always will be my hero. You have been a major part in my life since the day I was born. You have helped raise me and taught me most of what I know, you were one of if not the most inspirational people in my life. You impacted on me the most out of everyone i knew. My Daddy, he was so charming. He was a southern gentleman, funny, handsome, brilliant and compassionate. I guess I should have said is instead of was, because my Daddy has touched so many lives in a positive way that he will keep living on. Thank you Daddy, for being the best of everything. Thank you for being a man that I could always look up to and admire. You always met me with a smile on your face and a twinkle in your eye. I will miss you and think of you often.
