Charles Emmer Obituary
He is survived by wife Kathleen Emmer and former wife Judith Dericco, who each brought love and support to his life.
Charles cherished the love and connection with his family, including children Nicole (Andrius) Eringis, Leslie (Steven) Kayser, and Bradley Emmer. Dear grandfather to Damian Emmer and Jamie Kayser. Beloved uncle to Brian Emmer, Michael Emmer, Michelle Centofanti, Suzanne Emmer-Turner, and Kari Emmer-Petroff.
Preceded in death by parents Elroy and Grace Emmer, brothers Darrell and Ronald Emmer, and life partner Kathleen Nelson.
Originally born and raised in Wisconsin (and an eternal fan of the Green Bay Packers), Charles' journey led him through Michigan, Illinois, southern California, eventually settling into the tropical paradise of the Baja peninsula.
Throughout his career, he was a keen, enthusiastic salesman, entrepreneur, and proud independent business owner who thrived amongst the many long-lasting friendships established with colleagues and clients.
Charles was an avid traveler, and was fortunate to have adventures in multiple countries and most of the 50 states. Ever the quick wit, he was always armed with a good joke. He was a doting pet parent to his beloved Poppy, as well as his children's many animal friends. He schooled his friends in pick-up basketball, enjoyed legendary jazz artists live in concert, toured with family and friends to fun destinations, and even flew an ultralight aircraft. And yet, some of his best moments were relaxing with loved ones over a comforting meal, a cool glass of wine, and amusing conversation.
He touched the lives of so many, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A memorial service for close friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at The Geneva Inn (N2009 S. Lakeshore Drive) in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Arrival at 11:00am, service at 11:30am, with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society or Prostate Cancer Foundation.

I was fortunate to know Charles since he was born. The family called him Chuckie or Chuck. His mother and my Mother were great friends and we often went on picnics together, played baseball and got into trouble. Over the years we communicated together and occasionally met for lunch. We often joked that we were the only ones left of the 11 cousins from the 8 children of our grandmother. You are correct, he will be missed.
