Ken was more than just a co-worker to his many friends at BOE. He had the ability to make anyone comfortable in any situation. Ken always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He will be missed by his many friends and especially his co-workers from the "Old timers" lunch group. Our best wishes go to his family.

I am just now learning of Ken's passing and I am deeply saddened by the news! He was the epitome of a true American man! I have many great memories, but surely not as many as his family, which he loved dearly. But the memories I do have, from getting our new DOJ building's address set to 4949 Broadway to his giving me away at my first wedding! He was truly a "Papa Bear" and his hugs were worth waiting for!!
We had many lunches together and I'll never forget the lunches out at the CHP academy during my days of debating whether or not I wanted to become a CHP Motorcycle officer, a DOJ Special Agent or go into the Information Technology field. I chose Information Technology and Papa Hanley supported me 100%
I was just one speck in this Great Man's Great Life. I envied then, as I do now, those who were fortunate enough to spend years loving and being loved by this Man!
I have always missed him and will forever miss him and my condolences to his family whom he loved so dearly!!
Forever he will be Great, Wise, and Loved!

So Sorry to hear about your loss. I missed Ken in my Roseville Health and Wellness aqua classes. He had a beautiful voice and loved it when he sang to the music. I will miss him and I miss you! I think of you often!

My two friends and I met Ken in 2012 when he did a bus tour in Ireland. The Ireland bus tour was so much fun and we really enjoyed his company. we would all hang out a lot together and he was a lot of fun to hang out with and had a lot of great stories. I am so sad to hear about his passing. I could tell he definitely had an interesting life and loved his family. Prayers for his family.
