HUNTER, Charles Raymond, 65, of Tampa, stepped into heaven the

evening of Sunday, January

17, 2010. Born in Moultrie, Ga., he lived his youth in Marion County, Fla. With the exception of his time spent in the military and Vietnam, he had been a Tampa area resident since 1963. Until his illness, he had been a proud employee of Tampa Electric since 1968. Predeceased by his father, Raymond Hunter, and his mother, Jessie Lee Cowan, Charles is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita; daughter, Lisa (Shannon) Macon of Sanford, N.C.; son, Ryan, of Tampa; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Macon, and grandson, Ian Macon; brother, James Hunter of Frenchburg, Ky.; sisters, Gertrude Godwin of Kilgore, Texas,Linna Lee Wilson of Flagler Beach, Fla., Ruth Ann Talsky of Ocala, Fla.; Patsy Pasteur of Moncure, N.C.; brother-in-law, Kranston Berry of Tampa; mother-in-law, Ruth Berry of Tampa; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010, by Pastor John Damron of State Highway Baptist Church, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m.

Our sincere heartfelt sympathy to the Hunter family. I worked with Charlie for many many year. We really enjoyed those great BBQ's we worked on together. He is gone but never to be forgotten by all that knew and loved him. His family is in out prayers as they grieve the loss of their dear loved one.

I worked with charlie from 1968 to 2004 and remember the laughs we shared expecially the many Company BBQ's that we spent the whole night cooking on. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I have know his family for years as we all grew up together in the Reddick, Kendrick area of Marion County. He will be missed. My prayers are with the family. God Bless
