Charles Kinkead Obituary

Charles H. "Buddy" Kinkead, 86, formerly of Ligonier, died Friday, July 12, 2002, in the Aspinwall veterans' hospital.

Mr. Kinkead was born Christmas Eve 1915, in Derry, a son of the late Harry W. and Agnes V. Callaghan Kinkead. He was Catholic by faith, and was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed handyman. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Elsie Dallmus Kinkead, on Aug. 28, 1983; five brothers, Harry, John, Kenneth, Donald and Francis; a sister, Marguerite V. "Skee" Ashley. He is survived by two sisters, Anna Mae Drenning of Bedford and Mary Scanlon of White Plains, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Derry. Interment was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. McCabe Funeral Home, Derry was in charge of the arrangements.
